Now you can move the printhead manually from side to side and it is very easy to install the suction pad under the printhead nozzle plate. The pad can be a rolled up sheet of paper towels. The pads prevent the nozzle cleaner and dissolved clumps plus the ink coming out of the nozzle from leaking into your printer.

To perform cleaning remove all Brother inkjet cartridges from the printer. Each cartridge position is clearly marked for its color. So you can identify which ink port you need to use to clean a particular color.

You can also use the pad to clean the nozzle bearing surface by moving the print head back and forth on the pad. This removes residual ink from the outside. Using this method we were able to achieve excellent results in getting completely dry and veiled print heads back to work. 

The worse the blockage, the longer it will take to remove it. Increasing the pressure during rinsing doesn't help, the decisive thing is always time – let the cleaning surface work on the pollution.
