This model is a 4-in-1 multifunction toner device with automatic duplexing and faxing functions. All four cartridges can be replaced individually; these are available after purchase with two fill levels. When connected, the device adapts to the requirements as it has USB ports, network sockets and WLAN with Wi-Fi direct printing via apps. HP printers are suitable for Android or iOS mobile devices.
The paper tray holds only 225 sheets of plain paper; that's a bit much for a network device. Cannot be expanded with an optional additional cassette. Media weighing up to 280 gsm can be placed in the paper tray.
Toner consumption is very high. A page of text costs about 5 cents, an A4 photo with HP's cheapest photo paper costs about 1 cent.10 euros. What the wallet doesn't like, unless you're using the HP+ service model, is in favor of output quality, as it's great on all print media without exception. However, printing and scanning of scanned documents is very quiet.
This printer is also intended to work only with new or reused non-HP hardware media cartridges, and you may also use various measures such as dynamic security to prevent cartridges using a modified or non-HP chipset.
Occasional firmware updates are made very easy and you will also block new cartridges from working that are not from the HP manufacturer. Reusable HP chipsets allow reused, remanufactured, and refilled cartridges to be used.
