The Epson DS-410 is a scanner machine designed for the same purpose as a scanner in general, namely to archive printed documents in digital form.
The purpose of the archive itself is not just for preservation. Digital archiving also makes documents easier to access, manage, share, collaboratively process, audit, and more secure against various risks of damage.
Features of Epson DS 410
The Epson DS 410 carries Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) technology, a technology that allows the scanner to process multiple pages automatically.
The ADF technology is in contrast to the Flatbed where the page replacement mechanism must be done manually. For example, if there are five pages to be scanned, each of them must be loaded one at a time into the scanner.

From the differences in the mechanism, it can be seen that the ADF scanner is easier to use, more time efficient, and more energy efficient. The more pages to scan, the more pronounced the superiority of the ADF over the Flatbed.
To accommodate the page to be scanned, the Epson DS 410 scanner is equipped with a tray at the top. When the scanning process starts, the paper moves down through the sensor embedded in the scanner, then out into another tray mounted on the bottom.
The input tray on the scanner, which weighs about 2 kg, has a storage capacity of 50 sheets of paper. This capacity is common for the type of scanner that belongs to the entry-level segment.
Most scanners in this segment have a minimal number of buttons. Likewise with the Epson DS 410. There are only three buttons accompanied by three LED indicator lights that function to indicate the status of the scanner.
Regarding the speed in processing each page, it was noted that the Epson DS 410 scanner has a score of 26 ppm for simplex (single-sided) scanning and 50 ipm for duplex (two-sided) scanning. These specifications are slightly better than the Epson DS 310 which scores at 25 ppm and 50 ipm.
