This small AppleScript applet can be used to handle mailto URLs. Then, when you click on an email address on a website, it redirects to Yahoo Webmail. Send a message with your entered email address. If there are other parts, they will be filled in as well (subject, cc , bcc , body and maybe others).
Open your web control panel and select this app as your email app at the bottom of the Email tab. I plan to extend it to work with other major webmail sites as long as they support sending email by adding text to the url.
Let me know if you want to work there. Most useful tools only help people using standalone POP/SMTP clients, not webmail users.
