Method 4: Via Registry Editor

  • Open Run by pressing Windows key + R simultaneously >> then type "regedit" >> then click OK.
  • After the Registry Editor opens, please select HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Microsoft.
  • Then select Windows >> CurrentVersion.
  • Then select Polices >> then right click on an empty area on the right and select New >> then select DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  • Next, make the name DisableChangePassword >> then double-click on that value.
  • The next step, please change the value data to number 1 >> then click OK.
  • Please restart your computer, then you have prevented the user from changing the password.
